Joint educational program of Skoltech and MIPT
about
The Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT) and Skoltech — two leading Russian technical universities — are launching a joint master's program. Leveraging the intersection of science, management, and high-tech start-ups, the program will quickly train highly sought-after managers for knowledge-intensive industries in the burgeoning Russian economy.

The dual-degree offline program uses a network format, with two-thirds of the training provided at MIPT (the lead organization) and one-third at Skoltech. This helps train professionals in basic and applied research who can implement commercially viable technology projects that ensure quick payback and attract strategic investment.

  • The MIPT+Skolkovo Department of Technological Entrepreneurship (TechPred) has developed in-demand educational programs for nearly 14 years, not only for students of technical universities but also for adults and experienced professionals: leaders and entrepreneurs. Access to the community of students and alumni significantly expands opportunities for students.
  • The Skoltech Entrepreneurship Center has developed unique competencies in teaching project-oriented courses, where a group of students, with minimal distraction from lectures, rapidly engages in several iterations of prototyping and customer development.
  • From Skoltech's side, the program includes unique specialized courses that will enhance the professional competencies of graduates. Among such disciplines are “Modern Methods and Algorithms of Generative Artificial Intelligence,” “Transformer Architectures in Computer Vision,” “Neuroimaging and Machine Learning for Biomedicine,” and others.
  • Students will have access to the disciplines and practices of both institutes and will be able to create an individual study plan considering the specifics of their project and industry.
What the training is based on
