Lectures and seminars
Our degree program is truly multidisciplinary and highly vocational. We provide the opportunity of designing the individual study plans which cover compulsory and optional courses.
All academic staff are research active and draw on close links to our research partners in Russia and overseas. Students may start their own research project within the first year and publish research results in a reputable journal or conference proceedings.
In addition to academic lectures, you will attend lectures/talks/seminars given by experienced entrepreneurs and business leaders. On completion, students will graduate with the knowledge and experience of setting up their own start-up.
8-week industrial placement after the 1st year, working on a substantial project and gaining first hand experience of the practical application of IoT and wireless technologies.
2 years of master's studies are equivalent to 120 ECTS credits. They are awarded for the courses taken, but also for research work, disciplines in entrepreneurship and innovation, and an internship in the industry. This program is also available in a network form with TUSUR (Tomsk), SUAI (St. Petersburg), Bauman MSTU (Moscow), SFEDU (Taganrog), UNN (N. Novgorod), SPbSUT (St. Petersburg) and MSU (Moscow).
This program is designed to give the students the very best during their studies. Beginning from the very first-year students are exposed to real-world challenges/tasks. The professors at Skoltech are world-class professors and are readily accessible for questions and guidance. Personally, during my studies at Skoltech, my supervisor was readily available, and his guidance on my thesis was immeasurable. Also, I was at liberty to take courses from other tracks/departments based on my interest. This diversity and many more made programs at Skoltech unique and very interesting.
